Do you not have any MDMA problems in the north east ? It seems to be taking over from ecstasy in these parts !

http://www.mdma.net/#ecstasy.
Check out the link above. While it does equate MDMA with Ecstasy it is actually the pure form which comes in a crystal form. This generally means it comes uncut and therefore stronger. |

The thing about MDMA in it's crystal form is it's purity and therefore strength, i believe it is a lot stronger than ecstasy etc. as they have generally been adulterated with various cutting agents. Having said that, i have seen the crystals for sale after being crushed and then cut with various things such as baby laxative, glucose or even speed. The cutting of drugs i see as potentially very harmful to the user as they will generally have no idea as to what they are ingesting ! In Holland most clubs have testing kits for people who want to take ecstasy or MDMA to check on the purity of the drug and make sure it's not adulterated with harmful things.
Would a similar scheme not be beneficial to British drug users who are taking them anyway usually in ignorance of whats actually in them ? _________________ http://www.markcrook.co.uk/forum/index.php |

I agree, unfortunately i do think people will take drugs no matter what. Would it not be better to make it a safer experience ? What i think needs to happen though is precisely what you say at the end, people need to be educated around what it actually is that they are taking and the effects it could possibly have on them and why. This is one of the reasons i applaud sites like this which will hopefully develop into an open forum for discussions about drugs and their effects.
The 'safest' experience for drugs is easy......don't take them....no danger to health or the social fallout consequences that may happen. _________________ http://www.markcrook.co.uk/forum/index.php |

Yes K bee that is what we're all about, we're not here to lecture or dictate about drugs our aim is to educate people about them. Drugs is a very big issue in society today and i believe everybody should know as much as possible about the affects and dangers of drugs as well as (if users are going to take drugs) how to take them safely eg' not to share needles etc' _________________ Don't forget to register and take advantage of our "Members Only Area". Wrecker69 here. I may ruffle a few feathers here. I am a die hard, hard core recovering person and although I think it is a smart idea to inform people of safer procedures, I think people, especially young people should be taught and shown the consequences of long term usage. I mean, I never thought that when I was young and playing around that I would destroy what could and should have been a promisingly successful life. As it turned out I had a long and destructive life in active addiction. After 26 years I had nothing. And I do mean nothing. I was financially, physically and spiritually bankrupt. I had also lost the most important thing in my life. My friends and family. I never really had close friends, just users like myself, and thankfully most of my family had passed on but I still had a sister and an adult daughter alive. My sister had written me off because I had used and abused her and her generosity too many times. My daughter had written me off also. Her mother and I had split up when she was about a year and a half old. When she was around 12 my down hill slide to ruin was starting to pick up speed and I stopped being a part of her life.
That is a sad situation for any human being to have to live through, but if my story, and I am sure there are others, can help a young person to not start or stop if they have started then I think it would have all been worth it.
I believe we all learn from teachers. I believe the best kind of teachers are the ones with first hand experience at whatever they are trying to teach. Thank God for the teachers that suffered long before me because without them I would not have celebrated 5yrs clean and sober on Dec. 6, 2006. I have a chance to start again. Both my daughter and my sister are back in my life now and I am just about finished a college course for web design. I am 45 yrs old but I feel 30. I am on my way.
Thanks to everyone who read this long post. I hope it helped someone.

Mark is right, well done. It sounds like you have a hell of a story to tell that many people will look down on even though they refuse to see the full picture. I can relate to what you are saying and i just wish a certain person in my life would take the same steps that you have and engage on the road to a better life. The main thing you need to do is never look back! whatever it was you were using do not use it again usually what takes reformed persons back down the road to hell is so called friends! shocking i know but true indeed! just stay strong friend, you have a new and improved life now, love it! your story is truly inspirational and could teach a lesson to many. I'm not going to insult you by telling you how to live your life as you've experienced things that many people have not and survived through it to become a better person, nice one! we hope to see more of you in the future. people can learn from this and in turn make the same "right" choices that you have!
